Columbia Rail Trail Information
Location: High Bridge, NJ
Description: Following an old railbed, the scenic Columbia Rail Trail spans 15 miles of Hunterdon and Morris Counties. It is a part of the 150 mile Highlands Trail which traverses from the Delaware River at Riegelsville, New Jersey to Storm King Mountain on the Hudson River. Due to its smooth, wide surface, the Columbia Trail is a perfect destination to take the family for a hike or bike ride, or for a long cardio workout.

The trail features a long trestle bridge overlooking the South Branch of the Raritan river and the Ken Lockwood Gorge Fish & Wildlife Management Area.

NOTE: The trail crosses a few roads along the way - use caution at these intersections.

Directions: Take I95 exit 4 for NJ-31 toward Pennington. Turn left at Pennington Rd and go 1.3 miles to the traffic circle. At the Circle, take the 3rd exit onto Rt 31. Go 10.1 miles and take the ramp onto NJ-31/US-202. Go 5.7 miles. At Flemington Circle, take the 2nd exit onto NJ-31 and go 12.2 miles Turn right at W Main St and go 1.1 miles. Turn right at Bridge Street. and go 400 ft. Turn left at Main St. The parking lot for Columbia Rail trail is 0.2 miles on the left. The trailhead is across Main Street from the parking lot.
