Columbia Trail Description
Following an old railbed, the scenic Columbia Rail Trail spans 15 miles of Hunterdon and Morris Counties.
It is a part of the 150 mile Highlands Trail which traverses from the Delaware River at Riegelsville, New Jersey to
Storm King Mountain on the Hudson River. Due to its smooth, wide
surface, the Columbia Trail is a perfect destination to take the family for a hike or bike ride, or for a long cardio workout.
The trail features a long trestle bridge overlooking the South Branch of the Raritan river and the
Ken Lockwood Gorge Fish & Wildlife Management Area.
NOTE: The trail crosses a few roads along the way - use caution at these intersections.
