James River State Park Description
With 3 miles of river frontage, the James River is
the main attraction at this 1500 acre Virginia state park. There are several boat ramps, picnic tables at waters edge,
campsites along the shoreline, and an Outdoor Adventure center,
which offers canoes and tubes for rent. The 15 miles of multi-use trails wind their way along the river and into woodlands,
offering both wide doubletrack trails and more challenging singletrack trails.
For an extended stay, the park offers several campgrounds, including primitive and modern sites. In addition, the park offers several
cozy rental cabins.
